Walk away.

All day, I waste my time thinking about tomorrow,
Before I know it today becomes my past.

All night, my mind wanders into what could be,
So tell me what could possibly be real.

See, I waste my time just worrying about what 'should' and 'might',
The clouds in my mind blind me from my sight.

So have faith in whatever it is that might be real to you,
I'm telling you now, sorrow, I'm walking out your door. AB

Veneer.

My personal take on this book I just read,

"Veneer - Living Deeply In A Surface World"
by Willard and Locy

How do you tear down a wall that's unseen?
How do you live when you're lost in a dream?

Where does life start, and when does it end?

Does life lose worth when we veneer and pretend?

We can appreciate the past when it's passed,

Our present's never seem as good as the last.

Our future is bright, it's a shimmer of hope,

But glitter may blind when it's all that we know.

I'd give it all til there's nothing to give,

For acquiring the world is no way to live.

Balance is key to walking through life,

With The Son as the beacon to show you the light.

You are part of the world, the world is not you,

Even mountains are dwarfed from His point-of-view.

It's not answers I seek, but truth itself,

The truth's not just found in a book on a shelf.

Words may say much, but they're never enough,

Mere words can't compare to our God and his love.

Prayers aren't always answered by fixing the problem,

God helps us realize that we don't really have them.

Surrender your troubles, your life, and your greed,

In the end you will find that God's all you need. AB

Mommy. Mama. Nanay. Inay.

Good mothers are rare to find.
What makes good mothers? It is a question whose answer cannot be described within few words. Mothers embrace bundle of emotions that sometimes defy reason.
This is for all the mothers who have constantly guiding their kids.
For all the mothers who read cute little story to their kids before bedtime.
For those who cannot restrain tears when their kids are hurt.
For those mothers who gave home to babies and gifted them a family.
For those mothers who are very proud watching their kids perform at school activities.
For those mothers taught their children to tie the shoelaces.
For the mothers who silently shed tears for their children who have gone astray.
For all those mothers whose heart aches to watch her son fail and accept defeats.
So, this is for all the young mothers, working moms and housewives, married mothers and single mothers, those with money and without, and for those without whom life would have been insufferable.
Happy Mother’s Day!!!

Thank you for taking good care of us. I love you Mamsy!

Moving out.

I am blessed to have been raised by a woman who never showed fear.
There is no greater love than the love of a Mother. There are times, when I don’t feel okay and I dial the phone and call my mom.  As soon as I hear her voice I go back to a child, “Ma, I’m not okay.”  And in her loving way, she makes everything alright for me. She has been the stronghold of my life and in some strange way I just always expect her to be here.
But things change. I have to grow up and stand on my own feet. Prepare myself to be resposible and make decisions on my own.

This is the time to leave the home and start to prepare myself to build a family of my own. (I'm not getting married, nagre-ready lang. Haha) AB

Reblogging. Random.

Life is complex. One minute you're happy, the next minute you're not. Yes, it does get hard sometimes -- maybe most of the times -- but you have to fight your way through it. Because at one point or another, you chose to be there. Sometimes, when we go through something, we feel like the world is over. We feel like we are left with no choice: no choice but to give up. But that's not what it's supposed to be. Life sure is hard, but is indeed beautiful. We just have to perceive it in a good way. Of course we are negative sometimes, but if we just look at the bright side for once. It won't hurt, would it? Well, it stings at first, but the pain lessens... And eventually, you will realize that, "Oh, this is actually worth it. This is actually worth fighting for." It's hard. And it's harder to move on when you're carrying a burden in your heart. But you don't exactly have to carry all of the burdens, do you? You just have to get going... And be strong. Because no one else will fight for you. Only you yourself will. This is an obstacle. And we are here to overcome it. Wherever we are, wherever we might be, it only takes strength and faith to go on. AB
