Veneer.

My personal take on this book I just read,

"Veneer - Living Deeply In A Surface World"
by Willard and Locy

How do you tear down a wall that's unseen?
How do you live when you're lost in a dream?

Where does life start, and when does it end?

Does life lose worth when we veneer and pretend?

We can appreciate the past when it's passed,

Our present's never seem as good as the last.

Our future is bright, it's a shimmer of hope,

But glitter may blind when it's all that we know.

I'd give it all til there's nothing to give,

For acquiring the world is no way to live.

Balance is key to walking through life,

With The Son as the beacon to show you the light.

You are part of the world, the world is not you,

Even mountains are dwarfed from His point-of-view.

It's not answers I seek, but truth itself,

The truth's not just found in a book on a shelf.

Words may say much, but they're never enough,

Mere words can't compare to our God and his love.

Prayers aren't always answered by fixing the problem,

God helps us realize that we don't really have them.

Surrender your troubles, your life, and your greed,

In the end you will find that God's all you need. AB

Mommy. Mama. Nanay. Inay.

Good mothers are rare to find.
What makes good mothers? It is a question whose answer cannot be described within few words. Mothers embrace bundle of emotions that sometimes defy reason.
This is for all the mothers who have constantly guiding their kids.
For all the mothers who read cute little story to their kids before bedtime.
For those who cannot restrain tears when their kids are hurt.
For those mothers who gave home to babies and gifted them a family.
For those mothers who are very proud watching their kids perform at school activities.
For those mothers taught their children to tie the shoelaces.
For the mothers who silently shed tears for their children who have gone astray.
For all those mothers whose heart aches to watch her son fail and accept defeats.
So, this is for all the young mothers, working moms and housewives, married mothers and single mothers, those with money and without, and for those without whom life would have been insufferable.
Happy Mother’s Day!!!

Thank you for taking good care of us. I love you Mamsy!
